Support these Local Non-Profits During Giving Season

Posted on

Foster is home to multiple community organizations and non-profits. During this giving season, please consider supporting the below organizations and their causes. Whether you’re a business seeking a non-profit to partner with, or just looking to make a donation to a local cause, these FABA member organizations are a great place to start.

Mt. Scott Learning Center: Mt. Scott Learning Center is fully accredited, nonprofit education organization designed to foster success in our community’s most at-risk, vulnerable students. Mt. Scott serves students that have dropped out — or are at a severe risk of dropping out — of the public school system. Mt. Scott Learning Center is participating in this year’s Willamette Week Give!Guide, and contributions can be made: here.

Quest Center for Integrative Health: Quest Center for Integrative Health is a non-profit health center in Portland, OR offering unique integrated health programs in HIV Services, Non-Opiate based Chronic Pain Management, Substance Use Treatment, Mental Health Therapy, holistic Medical Services, and more. Quest Center prioritizes low-income and uninsured LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC individuals in need of culturally responsive and trauma informed care. We believe people thrive when their physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs are effectively met. Quest is included in this year’s Willamette Week Give!Guide, and contributions can be made: here.

Southeast Family YMCA: The SE Family YMCA offers all of the services you know and love, including childcare and camps, and they’ll be introducing more as they learn more about what the community needs. By supporting YMCA Columbia-Willamette, you’re supporting local efforts to support youth and community at the SE Family YMCA on Foster Road. To donate, select “invest” on the dropdown menu (here) and choose “Stewart, Mackenzie” as the campaigner.
