It’s almost that time of year again, and Foster is getting ready for the 3rd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting.
The Foster Tree Lighting is a non-denominational tree lighting ceremony featuring Foster’s beloved mascot, Twiggy. The tree lighting this year will serve as a benefit for Southeast Community Food Pantry, so please bring non-perishable food items and clean articles of clothing that you would like to donate to the food pantry.
The lighting itself will include hot-chocolate and caroling and culminate with a procession as we take Twiggy to the first of the neighborhood businesses where she will live for the month of December. Customers who inquire about Twiggy at one of her temporary homes will be eligible for a discount or other promotion.
The Tree Lighting also marks the beginning of our #selfieswithTwiggy Instagram promotion. From the tree lighting through the end of the month of December, anybody who posts a picture with Twiggy and the hashtag #selfieswithTwiggy will be entered into our weekly drawing for a $25 gift card at a Foster area business.
