Known on Foster as the driving force behind the Portland Mercado and Micro Mercantes Kitchen, Community Development Corporation, Hacienda is dedicated to strengthening families by providing affordable housing, home-ownership support, economic advancement and educational opportunities to the Latino community in Portland.

How long have you been in business on Foster?
We’ve been here 1 year and 1 month.
What’s your favorite thing about what you do?
Bringing diverse communities together to celebrate and learn about Latin American heritage, and helping start-ups develop their products and business models.
What’s the best way to take a break on Foster?
I like to walk to the Holgate library or get drinks at any of the great patios (Bar Maven, Bar Carlo, Barrio 😉 )
What snack should we have at the next FABA meeting?
Ceviche, patacones, mole bowl, Tacos del Barrio, Tlayuda, Kaah market chips and salsa, pupusas… How does one pick?!
