Foster Area Tree Lighting Huge Success!

Posted on

For the first ever Foster Area Tree Lighting in Laurelwood Park, we partnered with the The Foster-Powell Neighborhood Association in order to bring businesses and families together to celebrate our neighborhood this holiday season.

More than 200 people came out to light Twiggy the Winter Tree, drink free hot cocoa from Pieper Cafe and participate in kids crafts with thePortland Circle of Friends and Family Preschool. The first 100 kids received activity bags with a free copy of the Winter Activity Book inside, where we had coloring pages, kid activities, and articles in the back for their parents.

Initial feedback from local retailers show that some experienced a 50% increase in foot traffic on the night of the Tree Lighting verses a normal Wednesday, and event sponsors experienced an increase in Facebook likes during the lead-up to the event. Speaking of our sponsors, they’re all listed on the bottom of this post. Make sure to check them out, whether you’re looking for copywriting services, marketing, early childhood education, games for the whole family, or just a good old fashioned cup of cocoa.
