Gray Dog Digital is run by our newest board member, Allen Rowand. They provide technical support and consulting services for individuals and businesses. They work with computers, networks, data storage and backups, web sites, audio/video media and more. How long have you been in business on Foster?
I opened for business in May of 2016, so I’m one of the newer kids on the block! I’d been contracting for another company for several years and decided it was time to set off on my own.
What’s your favorite thing about what you do?
I enjoy solving problems. If someone has a computer that’s running slowly or a flaky network connection they get distracted from what they’re doing- it’s really satisfying to help people get their work done and be creative without them having to worry about the technology getting in their way. Computers are supposed to make our lives easier, right?
What’s the best way to take a break on Foster?
I like to grab a bite at Carts on Foster and see what’s on tap at the Pod Bar. I’ve got a soft spot for Roadrunner BBQ, as does my dog Sebastian. Tammy always has a treat for him and sometimes I “accidentally” drop a little pork butt (which he happily cleans up).
What snack should we have at the next FABA meeting?
Henry Higgins bagels! Heartywheat with crunchy peanut butter, please.
